Recovering from painful life experiences and in effort to restore and rebuild, I started an amazing expressive journey. This creative journey of discovery and healing is reflective throughout my art. Nature also is a place I see the hand of the greatest artist of all, it too is where I draw a lot of inspiration and peace. I hope that my work brings you as much love, strength, courage and joy as it has me. |

I enjoy working mostly with mixed media, I love to create a feeling of energy in my paintings, my best work happens when I tap into my emotions and the end result is usually a solution to a problem which I have been subconsciously puzzling over, for a while. |

I work best when I am not 100% focused on my art but distracted slightly, it tends to free my hand from conformity. I also like to scribe into my work conversations taking place around me. This gives my art a unique individuality and freedom. |

| David Gibbon |
Working primarily in sculpture David is inspired by a life long love of coastal areas, especially natural rock formations that have been shaped by the movement of tidal waters. His works on large industrial panels finished in various stages of rusted iron are close reproductions of coastal rock formations he has visited. Also a feature of David’s work is his use of surfboard blanks as a base for more explorative pieces which focus more widely on the elements themselves.
His work is as much an exploration into his own emotional attachment as it is an exploration into the effects of nature on what is perceived to be rock solid.
